Rambam Health Care Campus is a 1,000-bed academic hospital serving the over 2 million residents of Northern Israel. Providing comprehensive medical services in all medical specialties, Rambam is the tertiary referral center for 12 district hospitals, the Israel Defense Forces Northern Command, and the United Nations forces stationed in the region. Our commitment is to the entire spectrum of patient care, ranging from the best treatments and therapies, to the support of clinical research.

Strategically located in Haifa on the Mediterranean coast, Rambam has become a world leader in mass trauma and casualty treatment and education; Rambam’s percentage of trauma survivors is the highest in the nation.

Many of Rambam’s physicians are world renowned in their clinical specialty. Physicians participate in cutting-edge research projects to bring new therapies and treatments not only to their patients, but the greater community of the world.

Putting it simply—research saves lives. Around 40-50% of all cardiovascular deaths worldwide are due to Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD). Sudden cardiac death (SCD) patients exhibit no warning symptoms until the fatal incident, making prevention difficult. Rambam’s cardiologists have seen too many young lives end early due to SCD. Hence, they have committed their expertise to disciplinary and collaborative SCD research. A particularly promising prevention relates to genetic screening.

As an academic research hospital affiliated with the world renown Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Rambam is already recognized for breakthrough collaborative research into the mysteries of genes. Hence, support of research into the cause and prevention of SCD could find no better home than at Rambam Health Care Campus.
